After having met Mayor Hickenlooper at a fundraiser almost 2 weeks ago, listening to his speech, his answers to questions, and his answer to my question specifically, I came away quite disappointed. I was wondering if anyone has researched any of the other candidates for Governor, Senate, etc and what their thoughts were? I'm starting to check them out now (beginning with the Green Party candidate for US Senate, Bob Kinsey). I see much debate in several community forums over the Repub and Dem candidates, and also much anger and disgust at the 2 parties and cries for change. If we truly want change, shouldn't we be checking out all the other candidates with as much energy as we spend decrying the current/traditional ones? I'd love to see some info and debate here!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government." Thomas Jefferson

Principle over party.
People are tired of the party leaders (both major parties) selecting their candidates. They are tired of the same old stuff from both parties.
