Oh get off it Drudge

Back on topic. I think... well really the topic is about overstating issues with hyperbole, fear mongering and deceptive language... so with that in mind I offer you this Drudge headline...

As the clock ticks down toward a possible government shutdown, Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, isn't holding back.

POLITICS 'HAVE REACHED CIVIL WAR LEVELS'...

It's dangerous. It's very dangerous. I believe, Mr. President, we are at one of the most dangerous points in our history right now. Every bit as dangerous as the break-up of the Union before the Civil War.

No Mr. Harkin... this is healthy and vigorous representative Democracy. I'm surprised that he failed to see the difference.

I expect he does see the difference but puts partisanship above country. Imagine the gems we would get if Archer were a Senator.

If the government shuts down, who will spy on us, waste our money and still have contempt for us?
Oh wait that is what the liberals are for.

The silent majority will be silent no more.

Anyone here think the TEA Party is a greater danger to America than Iran with a nuclear weapon? Or Hezbollah?

Neither Iran or Hezbollah have a nuclear weapon, nor will either be allowed to posses one.

Why not just use Dr. No with a nuclear weapon as an example?

North Korea wasn't supposed to get a nuclear weapon either. Clinton & W promised. Do you think they have one?

And how exactly do you stop Iran from getting nukes besides putting boots on the ground?

Who's going to stop Iran and how? Obama or the UN? :rofllol

Back on topic, Walter, Drudge got you to look, didn't they? So it was an effective tactic. People even use that tactic here to get people to click on threads.

I don't think I'm talking about whether Drudge's tactic are effective to instigate a click through by someone reading his site. I'm talking about the honesty or dishonesty of the headline itself.

So get back on topic Fred.
