Interesting that this comes up now...I was delighted to meet a librarian from a small town in Nebraska while I was on vacation a couple weeks ago. She had just returned from giving library presentations in Iraq and Kazhakstan. She said that everywhere she went in Iraq, the Iraqis swarmed her to tell her how much they appreciated the Americans helping them get Saddam out of power and to better their country with running clean water and a better electrical grid.
