Angry House Dems demand ObamaCare fix from White House aides

Even democrats try and do the right thing. Too bad it is only to save there jobs instead of the American people.

"Here’s your early-afternoon reminder that these people are either (a) imbeciles who didn’t understand when they voted for O-Care that mass cancellations were part of the plan or (b) lying schmucks who understood it full well but who are too gutless to take the heat now that it’s happening.

Did somebody here order the schadenfreude?

A private meeting on Capitol Hill with House Democrats and White House officials on Wednesday became heated when rank-and-file members expressed frustration about continued Obamacare problems, according to multiple sources in the room.

One congressional Democrat who attended the meeting said senior Obama administration officials Mike Hash and David Simas really “got hit” by House Democrats about everything from the troubled website to the broken promise that people can keep the insurance plans they like…

Several lawmakers — even liberals "...

One wonders if any of these statists are the same ones who were running around with water buckets saying those of us who said that millions would lose their current plans were liars who were only interested in seeing Obama be a one term president because of the talking point issued that read "If you like your current plan, you can keep it, period."

Of course you couldn't keep your current plan. The whole point of the (un)Affordable Care Act was to outlaw, as in make illegal to sell, your current plan because it wasn't "comprehensive" enough for the collectivists running the government. Your current plan had caps on coverage, didn't pay for birth control so that the only worry of female college students and young professionals was "how to get him between the covers", didn't pay 100% of the costs of a yearly wellness visit, didn't cover dental for children, didn't allow your adult child between the ages of 21 and 26 to remain on mommy and daddy's policy or any of the other additional coverage requirements called for in the legislation.

I can't see what their problem is, the law is working exactly the way it was written, and doing exactly what many of us who read it in 2010 said it was going to do. Mandated Federal-defined plans with more expensive comprehensive benefits for all! Just dial 1-800-Obamacare, press 1 for English, and follow your instructions and write the check. Simple.

I think we are just in the "find out what is in it phase". That must be it. LOL

Those congress critters are so funny. :)

Pelosi is saying the King has a fix and will announce his brillliant idea today. My guess is that it will be some sort of subsidy to get people into the exchange, then it will be neccessary to take the subsidy away after the first or second year in order to keep the (U)ACA afloat. I see no other fix that Obama would approve (it's just more tax dollars so no biggie).

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

In theory the insurance companies can already renew your policy before 12/31, thereby giving you a 1-year extension, subject to state rules. I was looking at united healthcare policies the other day, and it looked like you could still do that. It looked like Kaiser decided not to allow that, in Colorado anyway.
All JMO, who really knows what is going on in this chaos. :) Enjoy!

Dear Leader's voice is likened to fingernails on a chalkboard to me; however, today I gutted it out and tuned in and...soon tuned out as my mind took me down the Fairy Tale Lane of years gone by...

Many years ago there lived an emperor who cared only about his clothes and about showing them off. One day he heard from two swindlers that they could make the finest suit of clothes from the most beautiful cloth. This cloth, they said, also had the special capability that it was invisible to anyone who was either stupid or not fit for his position.

Being a bit nervous about whether he himself would be able to see the cloth, the emperor first sent two of his trusted men to see it. Of course, neither would admit that they could not see the cloth and so praised it. All the townspeople had also heard of the cloth and were interested to learn how stupid their neighbors were.

The emperor then allowed himself to be dressed in the clothes for a procession through town, never admitting that he was too unfit and stupid to see what he was wearing. For he was afraid that the other people would think that he was stupid.

Of course, all the townspeople wildly praised the magnificent clothes of the emperor, afraid to admit that they could not see them, until a small child said:

"But he has nothing on"!

This was whispered from person to person until everyone in the crowd was shouting that the emperor had nothing on. The emperor heard it and felt that they were correct, but held his head high and finished the procession.

Hey BO...the crowd is finally shouting!!!

IMHO the fundamental problem with Obamacare is that Barry believes that as the CIC and lead member of the Executive Branch he has the power to legislate. Last time I reflected on my 7th grade Civics education, the Legislative branch of our Gubment is the branch that generates bills and votes on them to be passed in to law. The Legislative branch also processes bills that adjust and change existing laws before sending approved legislature to the Executive branch CIC for final approval, even then a veto by the HMFWIC can be overridden with sufficient votes from Congress. Since when has the Chief Executive been in charge of legislating their own bills and laws?

As for the rest of the Democrats making pathetic attempts to save their own skin, it's not too hard to deduce that they are only concerned with themselves and remaining in office. Serving the people who elected them isn't an issue; work is a place to go not something you actually do.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
