She must have read the forums here at MMT, where the term Obamacare was indeed used as a derogatory word, intended to demean and marginalize Obama. She's right on, and now y'all are outraged by her pointing it out?

You are 100% correct. But the term has nothing to do with racism.
HillaryCare, HillaryCare, HillaryCare, HillaryCare, HillaryCare... cause I hate white people.

???? Obama used the term all the time...UNTIL the wheels fell off the cart, now he uses ACA. How is that derogatory? Obama marginalized himself with his inept ACA plan. Poorly thought out, and poorly executed. He only has himself to blame.
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

So you're saying that all these Dems have been calling it Obamacare for years because it's derogatory? And IF this law wasn't such a disaster, you know damn well that race-baters like Perry and LJ would be proudly calling it Obamacare, but now that it's proving to be a trainwreck, it's back to the ACA. And why is that word bad but Hillarycare and Romneycare are perfectly acceptable and not derogatory? Your "logic" needs some help here.
I submit that Obamacare is a much better description since it IS Obama's signature law and it will be his legacy. The Affordable Care Act is bad because it is NOT affordable as promised for the majority and "care" will be more limited as more doctors abandon it.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Obama and the leftist press popularized the term Obamacare long before the Right used it in in a demeaning way. I love the polls where people prefer the Affordable Care Act to Obamacare. Even the clueless prefer affordable over Obama. Wait until they all find out it isn't affordable.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
I used to call it the ACA most of the time. But after the debate where Obama himself said he liked the name Obamacare and had no problem with the term, that's when I started using Obamacare most of the time instead. If Obama likes it, that's good enough for me. But as has been mentioned, it seems the Dems and Obama are now distancing themselves from the name. Hey, if the Dems no longer want to use the word fine, they can look stupid. But to criticize others for using it now is really hypocritical since they've used it so much before.
So far as that video of the MSNBC lady goes, what a tool! Or is it actually a Saturday Night Live skit?
