15 things everyone would know if there were a liberal media

It's so disappointing how they ignore the obvious. The media isn't liberal, it's consolidated and bought and paid for. We get stories about celebrities and murders, not how our civil rights are being taken away from us.

1. Where the jobs went.

Outsourcing (or offshoring) is a bigger contributor to unemployment in the U.S. than laziness.

Since 2000, U.S. multinationals have cut 2.9 million jobs here while increasing employment overseas by 2.4 million. This is likely just the tip of the iceberg as multinational corporations account for only about 20% of the labor force.

When was the last time you saw a front-page headline about outsourcing?

Before the 2010 election, conservatives launched a plan to win control of state legislatures before the census. The idea was to be in power when national congressional districts were redrawn in order to fix them so Republicans would win a majority of districts.

You're kidding, right? You don't think that both sides constantly do this? The Dems were guilty just recently in Colorado of doing this.

Wicked you need to find more objective sources. Dems in Colorado controlled our congressional districts and still more congresspeople are Republican in this state.

No offense Wicked, but I don't think you understand why the majority of the media IS liberal. To address the three points you've highlighted...

!.Outsourcing

If the media was to highlight outsourcing during a liberal political reign, that would require pressing the current administration for answers as to how to fix the problem. Have you seen the media putting pressure on this administration to fix the problem? Hell no. The reason is because you don't help the problem by piling on more taxes, regulations, min. wage increases, and massive expensive laws like the ACA. You don't incentivise businesses to expand domestic employment by making it more expensive to operate. The media is shielding this liberal administration from responsibility of a crappy outcome. Liberal media bias is not just reporting pro -liberal stories, it's also ignoring stories that could hurt the liberal agenda or show massive hypocrisy. Same is true for the right.

2.Gerrymandering
As mentioned above, the Dems are no more innocent than Republicans.

3.Media Consolidation

What's the point here? Do you really want to go down this road? You make a list of liberal leaning news networks, newspapers, etc. , then make a list of all the conservative ones and see which is bigger. Liberals would be perfectly happy with the the media if it was all consolidated into a few big corporations just as long as they leaned left. The same would be true of the right.

If you want a conservative viewpoint on TV, where would you go? The list is very short.

Anyway this morning 9 news showed two videos of shoplifters, one stole a ferret and I don't even know what the other was about..They spent 30 seconds explaining how a woman stuck a ferret in her coat at the pet shop? Theres must be a million shoplifetrs a day everyday in America-Its like showing a video of a guy running a stop sign and explaining how he did'nt even slow down...Its way beyond sickining and well into beam me up scotty

VL if people wanted to see OWS type news wouldn't someone provide it like PBS? They have some news programs right up your alley. And the local news you lambaste is always doing stories about families struggling.

Just follow the money- When you don't know whats going on, just follow the money. I've never seen grown men who don't have at least a little street smarts. Its just common sense and I have to wonder how you guys were raised..Very sheltered lives I think because you don't have ANY street smarts at all...None
