In keep with today's theme of throwing crap up there to see if it will stick:

Arkansas' 12-Week Abortion Ban Is Struck Down By Federal Judge [/url]

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A federal judge Friday struck down Arkansas' attempt to ban most abortions beginning 12 weeks into a woman's pregnancy, saying viability, not a heartbeat, remains the key factor in determining whether abortions should be allowed.

U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright last year had stopped enforcement of the law while she reviewed it, and on Friday she declared that it was unconstitutional. She cited previous court decisions that said abortions shouldn't be restricted until after a fetus reaches viability, which is typically at 22 to 24 weeks.

"The state presents no evidence that a fetus can live outside the mother's womb at twelve weeks," the judge wrote.

Well, one day they'll find legislators that can read court decisions.

And Texas is next....

The article kinda indicated that North Dakota was next up to bat with an even more restrictive law.

First abortion became legal because of privacy concerns. Now judges are talking about viability concerns?
12 weeks? Legal to kill.
24 weeks? Right to live.

It's not just "now"... SCOTUS has stated for years that "viability", (approx 24 weeks) was the determining factor. I have a feeling you are going to see many of the 20-week bans fall, too.

If you don't like abortion, don't have one.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Why, yes... What an "apples and ugli-fruit" comparison.

I'm not sure women can choose to keep global warming out of their bodies. (Although, if there is a way, I'm sure that Phyllis Schlafly and the 'Eagle Forum' will try...)

‘Climate change pushes poor women to prostitution, dangerous work’

The effects of climate change have driven women in communities in coastal areas in poor countries like the Philippines into dangerous work, and sometimes even the flesh trade, a United Nations official said.

Suneeta Mukherjee, country representative of the United Nations Food Population Fund (UNFPA), said women in the Philippines are the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change in the country.

“Climate change could reduce income from farming and fishing, possibly driving some women into sex work and thereby increase HIV infection," Mukherjee said during the Wednesday launch of the UNFPA annual State of World Population Report in Pasay City.

In the Philippines, small brothels usually pop up near the coastal areas where many women perform sexual services for transient seafarers. Often, these prostitutes are ferried to bigger ships by their pimps.

Climate change has many effects both on climate and the occupants of this planet. Just a thought.

Living human? only when it's viable outside the womb.

I can prove to you that a zygote is unique, alive and human using science NTM. Do we believe that we are endowed with our rights by our creation or as a result of someone else deciding we have them and which ones we do or do not have?

In our society there is but one instance that isn't criminal where we allow the decision to destroy human life to rest in the hands of a single individual absent any justification or excuse for doing so. That single exception is abortion.
