Our local conservatives must be so proud

So our local Jefferson County Republicans have nominated as their choice to run for state senate (Lakewood) an avowed neo Nazi, white supremacist with an arrest record for running scams. They must be so thrilled to have such a fine candidate that represents the values of their party.

Here is a sample of one his writings:

You might remember him as the chief sponsor of the white supremacist rally in Evergreen last summer.

Or you might remember him as being arrested for running fake rental scams on Craigslist where he tried to rent vacant condos out that he did not own.

And of course an ardent support of Tom Tancredo.

Looks like the local GOP finally caught on...

POLS UPDATE: Jefferson County Republican Party Chair Bill Tucker demands that Nate Marshall resign as a candidate. From the Denver Post:

The chairman of the Jefferson County Republican party is demanding that candidate Nate Marshall resign after learning he has ties to a white supremacist group and a criminal record.

Marshall, 42, was the only Republican to run during the Jeffco GOP assembly on Saturday for the House seat now held by Rep. Max Tyler, D-Lakewood.

Marshall did not respond to the Post for the initial story above, and it may be hard to convince him to get out of the race now. Marshall was nominated by the Jeffco GOP, so as long as he doesn't resign in the next four days, he becomes their candidate in HD-23 by default. We're guessing that a guy with Marshall's background isn't exactly impressed when a county Party official demands a resignation.

If you read along the thread above, it looks like a lot of his Aryan friends don't trust him much either.

Dog once again acts like Republican delegates nominated him with a hearty endorsement. If no one else is running for the job, the nominee just goes up on stage and says a few words. The nomination isn't even put up to a paper ballot, just a voice.

Anyone else find it funny that the most homophobic person on the board, VL, gets to accuse us of being neo-nazi's. Is it hard to be a neo-nazi and Jewish at the same time? :Angel:

Only after he was elected by the Jefferson County Republican delegates to be their candidate, and only after the Denver Post broke the story about his ties to white supremacy and his arrest record as a scam artist, and only after a barrage of publicity about his actions. Which should have not been any surprise to the local conservatives since he did receive publicity last year for sponsoring a white supremacy rally in Evergreen, and his espousing his white supremacy and conservative views as a local conservative radio host and conservative blogger. I do note that he rushed to take his blog down this week boldconservatives.blogspot.com
