I've thought about this a lot because every day around 5:00 I drive past Kipling and Colfax in Lakewood where there are usually about 10 or more white people holding up BLM signs and others that show how much they care about black people. I don't know their real motivations and honestly don't care. But yesterday I pulled into my buddy's shop on the NW corner and watched for a while since I was curious. Some people honked and pumped fists out their windows and others just drove by.
I get it, people are trying to let everybody know how much they care about black people and they want everybody to know they are not racists, I mean, how could they be, right?
Then I saw them cheering when a car stopped at the light and there was 3 black people in the car. They actually pointed at these people and threw their fists in the air in a sign of solidarity. The driver of the car was laughing and the two women covered their faces... it was a bit awkward imo.
Maybe its just me, but this just seemed a little too weird for me and I started wondering if this is really what the average person with darker skin than me really wanted. I started thinking that if I was one of those people in the car, would I appreciate the sentiment or would I think these people were trying to compensate for the skin color they were born with, as if it was something they wished they didn't have right now.
I'll never say "I don't see color" because I do, just like everybody else who has working eyeballs. But I will say that I don't judge people by their color but I'm trying hard not to judge these white people right now. I want to know if they really want to help or if they just feel guilty, even when they've done nothing wrong. Am I wrong for bringing this up or is this a real condition that should be discussed?

DISCUSSION is a method to come to an understanding (hopefully)....I believe there is a segment of the population that sees the actions U described,as support for a cause. The awareness level as been raised,
but the level of TRUE commitment to the cause, is concrete,concerted ACTION. WRITING YOUR
REPRESENTATIVES and stating do the right thing...revise the laws,levy heavy fines on those that DARE
to hang a noose over a tree limb (Jena Six 2006)review EVERY police procedure, in every state and
compile a picture of ACTUAL actions of bias towards blacks....this has been ALL talk and NO action for
generations....the black community has stated that MANY times. I belong to the ACLU, I participate in LEGAL
actions....I have always stated...NOT IN MY PRESENCE....If U read the topic by RAMAGE...Racism, U can
see the blindness of white America. As I stated before...OJ was found not guilty because the black community had an opportunity to say F.U.....we know the M.O. of the police.
THE NASCAR not flying the Confederate flag is just a small start...but at least it is a start.
THIS is courage and conviction (* no I have not been beat up)....but I have been set up and thrown under
the bus (so to speak)....because I spoke up (not racial) and stated NOT IN MY PRESENCE....THIS is
concrete concern. It came at a steep cost to the individual....can U "get on the bus? " IT is the only
method that will make a difference.
SALON writes about this topic/question.....their suggestion above, is review these REAL and raw movies,
that truly speak to the core of the issue and not just put some frosting on the cake.
Spike Lee's...DO THE RIGHT THING, one of the first to put forth the difficult problem of cultural clashes. IT
is an oldie,but goodie.....but Spike Lee ALWAYS addresses the difficult circumstances and does it in a
profound platform.
I have to wonder if Black America considers this a faddish thing that white liberals will move on from in a few weeks?
They do tend to bounce around on different causes, like banning straws last year, closing Sea World the year before.
Just a few years ago, we had the "Don't Breathe" riots. Did they accomplish anything?

I think it's pretty obvious why the NFL has flipped, there's a very high percentage of black players and the NFL knows that kneeling is now in fashion. Why risk backlash from protesters who could easily create havoc and chaos at will?

Here's a long quote from Malcolm X a friend of mine share that I've never read. I'm 100% certain this quote will never be shared by anyone in the liberal media... I see a lot of truth here and I think many black Americans have been seeing it for a while now. I'm not saying the average white liberal fits this description but I do think the average white liberal politician does.

AND here is a black woman who didn't wait for white liberal approval and was STILL devoured by the
system of foxes and wolves. She STOOD UP.....and stood up again and stood up AGAIN...much like
MANY before her and MANY after her.....it NEVER ends.
