Censorship arrives at My Mountain Town

No, I actually get what you're going for and agree mostly. I was just confused by Ramage's post, but looks like that was just a search issue. I know how easy it is to start taking pot shots at each other over politics because we all feel strongly about these issues. I've tried to self moderate since I know I'm guilty of it. I let my buttons get pushed too easily but I am trying.

A good forum needs light and fair moderation with the same rules being applied both directions. I think you guys do a pretty good job here. I also know how fast a board can die if one side is shouted down and I don't want that to happen here. I've noticed a certain amount of dogpiling on a poster who is simply stating their opinion and unfortunately have taken part in it a couple of times. I will strive to do better.

The Courthouse is for discussing issues, not spamming viewers with video after video or insulting others. Telling someone they are suffering TDS is an insult. "It’s amazing that your TDS prevents you from seeing that injustice." was the exact quote. Discuss the issue, not the person for their beliefs or it gets moved - this is your living room Rick, not your garage. This forum will be civil discussions of issues and public figures or we can merge the entire Courthouse into the Ring, it's up to all of you.

You can go to your Profile Page and see all of the posts you've ever made, the last one of yours that was moved to The Ring was on August 1. We don't delete posts. Ever.

Election years always make tempers short, but that is no excuse to treat each other rudely. The rest of the internet is a cesspool of trolls, jerks, and disrespectful, outrage-fueled garbage. I don't want or expect this place to be all sunshine and roses, but I have made it abundantly clear of the expectation that we will treat each other civilly here while sharing our viewpoints or we can stop discussing politics altogether. Your choice.

SC, since this was directed at me, please perform a Search and my user name and TDS, T.D.S., tds or Trump D... Syndrome and look at all the posts. What you will see is verifiable proof that it exists and is so overwhelming it blinds the person to the truth. I also previously challenged another poster to show my posts that were misogynistic, etc. Wow look at all the posts, none. Is it that I'm Christian or conservative that so bothers those on the Left? All of my posts are intended to show people what is really going on in this world. If the videos are not to your liking, don't watch them. I've stated more than once, you must choose what you believe.

I am breaking my self imposed hiatus (that was going to be in place until AFTER Sept).......I will digress,for just a moment and comment.

I have DEEPLY missed the mountain since moving to the western slope. I ATTEMPTED to re establish my membership on another site (and this site also). The OTHER site checked my IP and PROMPTLY
denied me service,since many moons ago I had a run in with the mods. (they denied my husband also).

THIS SITE,which is run in a professional and efficient manner, is FAIR and balanced...BECAUSE of the
ring.

THE RING...from my pov,allows U to continue a "string" of thought to it's completion AND it then allow
a two way conversation to occur.....SOME posters are very proficient at personal attacks, and some
posters have the ability to "come right back at U"....some are offended and some are simply not willing to engage...(go quiet)

BUT....this site is am excellent example of doing the balancing act of free speech,debate or just
allowing a venting process to occur,because life (right now) is "sucky".

I applaud and appreciate the HUGE effort that takes...and I am extremely happy there is a ring,'cause
sometimes I KNOW I want to get my point across in a "if looks could kill,U would be dead".

Maybe you can answer this. Since the definition of spamming normally involves commercial advertising, how am I or anyone else gaining monetarily from this? Granted I have insulted others, normally after I've been attacked, please show where that isn't the case.

As I read your earlier comment there is no quotation, the only quotation marks are found around the word "morgue". I accept the fact that you do not wish or are unable to express yourself in a complete sentences. Rather you find the use of ellipse marks, which indicate the omission of material, to convey something else, known only to you.
I accept your apology, that "seriously fucked up" was not directed toward me, but to the Mayor of Florida. By that, I take it to mean the Mayor of some City in Florida? I hope that you realize that there is not a MAYOR of Florida.
Most importantly, however, is your need to use crude terminology "seriously fucked up" to describe an individual. Crude regardless of to whom you are referring. Please provide context for your assertion.
