It really is sad. He sees it as the only way he can get the word out on a national level about what really happened in the election so he's willing to be impeached to do it. He's been completely deplatformed and has no other avenue. We used to be a free nation that could handle the free exchange of thoughts and ideas.
His lawyers wouldn't give up the easy case for unconstitutionality and decided they'd rather quit than be part of a show. Most of them are from South Carolina. I've actually met a couple of them since one of my kids was competeing in the Law Day contest here a couple of years back.

"most of them are from S.C."......isn't SOUTH the stronghold for Trump? THAT has to relay a REAL
piece of information...those that"seethru"and those that don't....do U fold them or hold them? (to use a poker term)

We're the home of Lindsey Graham and Trey Gowdy, two uniparty favorites. Yes, the south is generally very pro-Tump, but we seem to be stuck with elected officials who are shysters. A lawyer down here who goes out on a limb like that would have to move - he'd actually be blacklisted in the state. Our govenment is broken. Even here.

It sounds like President Trump wants to defend himself with the nonsense theory that there was massive voter fraud in the election and there wasn't. Sure, there is always some fraud, but not enough to swing an election in so many states.
So the attorneys he hired decided to walk away rather than be forced to defend Donald's nonsense theory before the Senate.
There is some speculation that with no attorneys, GOP senators will have to defend the former president against charges that he planned and coordinated the capital attack. To me, the evidence is pretty flimsy.

First, there is still no evidence of election fraud. I know you want there to be, but there's no evidence.

Second, Donald can get the "word" out in many ways other than using free private social media platforms. He can hold a press conference, he can issue statements, he can give speeches. He has not been muted.

First off, yes there is overwhelming evidence some of which I’ve posted here. If you choose to ignore it, that’s on you.

Second, you say Trump can call a press conference? I’d like to see that. None of the main stream sources would agree to carry him they’ll say he’s a threat. He can issue statements but, again, if nobody carries them, then what’s the point? My statement stands. He will never get another chance to bring the evidence of fraud to a large scale audience.

No, there is not overwhelming evidence. You post junk sites and conspiracy theories that have not held up in court. But go ahead and believe your fairy tales.

Trump can call a press conference. Main stream press would jump at the chance to cover that, as it would be great viewing. He can issue statements that would be received. He can give a speech to his conservative friends. He has not been silenced. The fact that you seem to think he is mute is laughable.

Again, there was no evidence of fraud. Trump lost by over 7,000,000 votes.

How many illegal ballots were counted in how many states? Funny how we get these rulings now that they won’t make a difference.
