Spending deal in a strict party line vote. That is a lot of money! Checks going out, donors are being rewarded.

Actually read a good op-ed in the WSJ this week saying this new batch of spending will overheat the economy and bring back inflation. I think the spending should have been less and better directed to just the unemployed and the underemployed like all the pipeline and oil field workers President Biden just put out of work with his dictatorial executive orders.

The economy is already swirling down the toilet. Do you think spending trillions in money we don't have will somehow magically bring it back? It will only hasten the end. The dollar will completely collapse soon. Better buy some gold.

Yes, and the unemployment number dropped unexpectedly simply because people are dropping out of the labor force. We had record labor force participation under Trump and two weeks of Biden is killing what little was left after the politicization of the pandemic.

We had the best economy in decades roaring forward and the deficit still grew. We had record taxes collected and the deficit still grew. Why would that be? What branch of our government are all becoming millionaires on $168,000 a year?

By the way, the title is wrong. It’s 1.9 trillion, not billion. It’s 1/15th of our entire annual economy.

Thanks for pointing this out. Sorry for my mistake. This number is astounding!
