PETE BUTTIGIEG unloads his bicycle from a Chevy Suburban in order to ride his bike to work for this last 1/4 mile.
Reminds me of so many Denverites who would trail( put on trailers) their bikes (motorcycles) to the outskirts of Sturgis and ride the last several miles into the rally. We all knew who they were, and simply discounted their presence. This charade is on the level of John Kerry wanting a waterfowl license back in 2004.

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg tried to burnish his “green” credentials Thursday by biking to a Cabinet meeting — after unloading it from an SUV near his intended destination.
CNN reporter DJ Judd, WFMZ-TV and social media users all posted the viral clip of Mr. Buttigieg‘s security team unloading the bike prior to a White House meeting.
Of course they got the story wrong, but I'm not surprised.
He rode his bike onto the White House grounds for a cabinet meeting and then rode it to his offices at the Department of Transportation. His security car had to follow, which it does even if he goes for a walk. But, hey, let's just go for half the story and not ask what it was all about. Let's not think about why he would "stage" a stunt that was in plain view on the White House?
A U.S. Department of Transportation spokesperson told us: “He rode his bike to the White House Cabinet meeting and he rode his bike back to DOT after the meeting.”
According to Google Maps, the 6-mile round trip might take around 40 minutes on a bicycle.
The video was first posted by CNN journalist DJ Judd, who made no mention of Buttigieg staging the bike ride:

Yes, technically he did ride a bike but it was only for show because it would have used less energy to get into the chase vehicle and go to work. Instead they had to slowly follow the bike of Mayor Pete using up more gas that way.
