There is an idea floating around the internet that President Trump should run for a seat in the House of Representatives, which he would win easily. Then the House would choose him as Speaker.

Not so unbelievable. John Quincy Adams served 17 years in the House after serving as President.

It should also be noted that the Speaker of the House of Representatives does not have to be a member of the House.

Trump currently resides in a Democrat House District which the current Rep. won by 20 percent over the Republican candidate. Trump's margin in that district was 17 percent.

In any case, it would require too much work on Trump's part and I don't think he's up to the challenge. Personally, I still have doubts he'll even run for president again. I think he's happy to run a PAC and siphon off political contributions in the future.

As our elected House members, both democrat and republican, have demonstrated, not living in your district is no impediment to being elected.

What work would it entail, other than having someone step aside, such as Brian Mast, just up the road in the 18th Congressional district in Florida. In that Florida is getting another seat in the House, Mast could slide into it. Or Mr. Trump could represent the new district.

Why is it that after making an interesting point regarding the potential of Trump running, you denigrate yourself but adding the comment " and siphon off political contributions in the future.".

The parable of of the scorpion and the frog comes to mind.

I forgot to add in my previous comment...

He, Mike Lindell and some other followers believe he'll be reinstated to the office of President in August. So there's that.

First off, I've never heard that parable as I am not into Russian fables.

Second, why do you continue to introduce personal attacks in these discussions? Let's discuss things but leave the personal innuendos out of it, okay?

I agree with Wayne. Trump does love the limelight but he doesn't want the work required to become a House member. He would rather campaign in Red States for others in upcoming elections next year.

How would you know he wouldn't want the required work? When he was president the guy worked his ass off for zero pay and got more accomplished in four years than Obama got done in his first term. Biden has one event a day and gets tucked in by 8:00. Do you really think Pelosi works more than the average American? Hell no she doesn't.

Trump worked his ass off? Yeah, right, sure. Oh - wait - you're talking about his golf game, right? Yeah, he did work very hard on his golf game.

Obama golfed a lot as well, yet you didn't complain I'm sure. The fact is, Trump did what his voters wanted and crossed off a whole lot of promises. You may not like what he did, but your candidate lost and that's how it works.
