during the primaries, I thought he was out of touch... I didn't realize his vp would have the same problem."Play the radio, make sure the television — the, excuse me — make sure you have the record player on at night ... make sure the kids hear words,"
"In some people's mind, that means you're going to have to Xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove who you are. Well, there are a whole lot of people, especially people who live in rural communities, who don't -- there's no Kinkos, there's no OfficeMax near them," she warned.
"Of course people have to prove who they are," Harris said, but "not in a way that makes it almost impossible for them to prove who they are."

What do you think about her premise that it's almost impossible for many rural Americans to make a photo copy?homeagain wrote: WE,here in Montrose, have Office Depot....and I do not have a smart phone, just saying Our system
works REALLY well, Drivers License list, mailed ballots to residents, return by mail OR just drop by the

She also doesn't realize that Kinkos no longer exists... probably still thinks Blockbuster is the best place to rent movies too.FredHayek wrote: Yes, our VP was calling rural people idiots who don't understand technology. Does she think we are the Amish? Or Neanderthals?

I do enjoy watching people tell others what politicians really meant, even though said politicians didn’t say anything close to it. If Trump says something it’s always given the very worst interpretation, but if someone like Harris or Biden says something completely stupid, someone on the left is always there to say “no, this is what she actually meant and it’s reasonable”.homeagain wrote: I believe she was referring to the areas abjectly poor,Appalachian mtn region, for one. The "bush" communities in Alaska as a second....and there are MANY of those.

I like hearing people's point of view, as long as it has a basis in fact and isn't just pulled out of thin air in order to counter a point you can't counter with facts. Harris clearly made a point that rural people are somehow unable to make a simple photo copy. If you don't think that is a ridiculous statement, then this conversation has hit it's end.homeagain wrote: .I do appreciate a pov, isn't that what U KEEP asking for???
