VP Harris - Rural Americans Can't Make Photocopies

13 Jul 2021 06:43 #1 by Rick
When Biden famously said

"Play the radio, make sure the television — the, excuse me — make sure you have the record player on at night ... make sure the kids hear words,"

during the primaries, I thought he was out of touch... I didn't realize his vp would have the same problem.

"In some people's mind, that means you're going to have to Xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove who you are. Well, there are a whole lot of people, especially people who live in rural communities, who don't -- there's no Kinkos, there's no OfficeMax near them," she warned.

"Of course people have to prove who they are," Harris said, but "not in a way that makes it almost impossible for them to prove who they are."

I just returned from a long road trip through Wyoming an was shocked to discover how many people actually had smart phones and cars, but I thionk Kamala was right, I didn't see a single Kinkos or OfficeMax.

Her words on their own really don't do this justice, you shoud watch the video in the link because her signature laughing really adds to her credibility.

works REALLY well, Drivers License list, mailed ballots to residents, return by mail OR just drop by the
court house...deposit the ballot in a SECURED,24 HOUR SURVEILLANCE mail box on the court house lawn.
(police station 1 block away) easy peazy....

Us rural folk even own copiers and printers. They aren't expensive. Less than the toner. VP Harris, to disguise her stupidity, should only read from prepared texts.

What do you think about her premise that it's almost impossible for many rural Americans to make a photo copy?

Yes, our VP was calling rural people idiots who don't understand technology. Does she think we are the Amish? Or Neanderthals?

She also doesn't realize that Kinkos no longer exists... probably still thinks Blockbuster is the best place to rent movies too.

I believe she was referring to the areas abjectly poor,Appalachian mtn region, for one. The "bush" communities in Alaska as a second....and there are MANY of those.

I do enjoy watching people tell others what politicians really meant, even though said politicians didn’t say anything close to it. If Trump says something it’s always given the very worst interpretation, but if someone like Harris or Biden says something completely stupid, someone on the left is always there to say “no, this is what she actually meant and it’s reasonable”.

I like hearing people's point of view, as long as it has a basis in fact and isn't just pulled out of thin air in order to counter a point you can't counter with facts. Harris clearly made a point that rural people are somehow unable to make a simple photo copy. If you don't think that is a ridiculous statement, then this conversation has hit it's end.
