Bye Bye Cuomo

Talk about missing the big picture. The report detailing what Cuomo did came from the [liberal] NY Attorney General. The NY Democratic Congressional delegation called for him to resign. President Freaking Biden called for him to resign. The NYC Mayor (who hates his guts) called for him to resign.

The Democratic Party isn't tolerating his abuse of women (now that it's finally officially documented, sadly, this kind of shit is tolerated all the time behind closed doors by members of both parties); it's a shame that the Republican Party doesn't do the same when their members are credibly accused of abuse (not just "locker room talk" but actual assault) cough *Trump* cough *Gaetz* cough.

Making this an exercise in complaining about partisanship or crappy media misses the worst problem - that this happens to women and is excused and tolerated for far too long. #MeToo wouldn't have to be a movement if women were treated more respectfully. Those who make it a partisan problem or use it to air their pet complaints about the media (egregiously wrongly here in this instance) are part of the problem. Your words demonstrate that don't care about these women, you care about tearing down others with whom you disagree. It's disgusting.

JFK and Ted Kennedy would never survive in today's world, and that's a good thing. Change is slow, but it's continual, and maybe someday people will be judged on their character (and actions) rather than by the color of their skin, or their gender. Or political beliefs. Because constantly villainizing the opposite political party is just as awful.
