LAUREN BOEBERT VS. JOE NEGUSE

I just received this campaign request for money from Joe Neguse.

"Colorado’s redistricting commission just came out with its proposed new lines for our congressional district, and here’s the bottom line:

Under this new map, Lauren Boebert and I reside in the same district. There’s now a strong possibility I will be facing off against Lauren Boebert, and make no mistake, that campaign would be extremely expensive and hard-fought.

Has anyone else gotten such a message?

Haven't seen this discussed anywhere and Lauren spams me weekly.

The article referenced above states that there will be other redistricting maps before a decision is made. Hard to tell from the picture whether the NE corner of Park County will stay in District 2, currently Neguse's district.
Does anyone know if he had ever been here. I am on his mailing list and have not seen any mentioned of a townhall or a community meeting scheduled for our community.
He is quick out of the box to raise funds on this premise.

I did see the new map last night and hate it! Way too many rural voters being overwhelmed by liberal urban voters! Boulder residents have nothing in common with the NE corner of Colorado! Park County outvoted by Jefferson County.

The map makes me think of the State of New York. NYC is the tail that wags the dog, i.e. the NYC vote controls statewide elections. The Sun article points out the change in CO-7, currently represented by Perlmutter of Arvada. He would be, assuming reelection, the representative for Park County and other mountain counties.
Do you know if the commission is basing its demographics on the voter registration records or the result of the actual election?
If the former, independents have no say in the process, yet they are the largest voting group in Colorado. It strongly promotes the two party system.
If the latter, the independents have some input into the process.

It is supposed to be a non-partisan commission but it looks like a Democrat wish list to me. Went from being 5-3 to 8-1 for Democrats.

This is a map of the current 2020, U.S. House Congressional districts in Colorado. I thought it will be helpful for comparison purposes.

Looks like both parties are okay with this new map. Democrats get 5 seats, Republicans get 3 seats, and the Jefferson/Park County seat will be a toss up. 285, a battleground seat!
