The Biden Administration has created a basket of sanctions to use against Putin and his oligarchs, but the US will still continue buying Russian oil and gas. This will allow Russia to keep funding their conquest of Ukraine. Ukraine has to not be happy with this decision. The explanation? The White House doesn't want inflation to increase right before the midterms.
Wouldn't it be funny if Vladimir cut off US and European sales? I am sure China would be willing to buy the fuel just to hurt Biden and NATO.
