Russia is realizing how bad this looks internationally and even at home. They are trying to get Ukraine to the negotiating table. Ukraine should keep turning them down.


Military scuttlebutt, Russia is losing the logistics battle. They are running out of food, gasoline, and precision guided missiles. I don't think they expected such strong resistance. Or overestimated the quality of their own forces.

Part of me hopes Russia gets strangled economically, but the other part is very concerned that Putin may be mentally unstable and would be willing to use the worst of the worst weapons if he feels like he has nothing more to lose. I don't think he has it in him to pull back and accept humiliation and become a failure in the eyes of his people.

Of course his oligarch buddies could always make themselves look like heroes and shoot Putin in the back. And then they would get access back to their wealth.

Latest has Swift no longer working with certain Russian banks.

And I think Putin was willing to have Ukraine exist on its own as long as they remained a loyal puppet, but those elections didn't always go his way.

Saw one report the Zelensky won the election because he promised to maintain a good relationship with Moscow and got the votes of many Ukrainian Russians.

I'm sure that idea is shared by many who don't want to end up being isolated and broke, but Putin probably knows that as well and will keep his back covered. I'd love to se it end that way though.

Hopefully XI is reevaluating his goals right now.

The "mother" was just made....SWIFT is being implemented....because it is NOW apparent all other measures will NOT be sufficient.....watch what happens,THIS is a huge experiment.

Much of their foreign reserves are kept overseas and I am seeing movement to denying Russia the use of those. Would be a smart move.
