SCHADENFREUDE, PERHAPS?

Disney decided to fight for the LGBTQ etc, group against the FL government. Here is what has happened so far:

Disney's stock has lost nearly $50 billion in value since the start of March, when it took a political gamble to oppose Florida's controversial new education law.

Disney’s stock was down more than 2% on Friday and by more than 8.5% over the past few days as Florida lawmakers work to punish the company for wading into the state’s politics. The stock's market cap has declined by about $46.6 billion since March 1, just days before the company came out against the legislation.

Disney came out with a plan to inject everything gay, trans, and whatever else sexual, into children's shows and movies. This is the thing that fascinates me most about the hard left radicals, they just don't understand that they are in a small but loud minority. They, like CNN, think they are gaining the hearts of the masses because they are just so damn virtuous. If these leftist corporations actually made a difference in the lives of truly struggling people, they would have some credibility. CNN's whole model revolves around seeking out 'victims' and exploiting them to get ratings. Anyway, I digress, Disney should be the model for the rest of the woke corps, but as we've seen here, most will probably not learn and shoot themselves anyway. People are waking up and it's time this bullsh$t gets put down for good.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Go woke, get broke? That maybe part of it for Netflix and Disney, but I suspect more of it is due to inflation making people trim their expenses. Expect to see more TV viewing apps either merge or go away like CNN+.

I believe that families cancelling their plans to visit Disney World are due to the posturing of the CEO not due to inflationary pressures.

I do not know nor understand the thinking that went into the creation of CNN+. CNN, itself, is a losing proposition, maybe management felt that throwing gasoline onto a fire would save the brand. I wonder if CNN would fade into oblivion if not for commentators on other networks and the press highlighting what is said on CNN. They occupy their on air time and printed word space talking about each other rather than the news.
Case in point, China signing a treaty with the Solomon Islands which will allow the CCP to have a position in the South Pacific Ocean.

So you're using the biggest liar on CNN for a source for why CNN+ was a dumpster fire? LOL

NO,I STATED SEE USA TODAY....the main source of info....either way it was a lack of communication,
new guy comes in shit on carpet, stays 18mo or 2 years LEAVES and some one else has to pick up the pieces...THE LACK OF LEADERSHIP IN COMMUNICATING THE INTENT OF THE COMPANY IS THE PROBLEM.

The employees r blinded sided and r the recipients of complete chaos. BEEN THERE,DONE THAT.

THE REST OF THE UGLY STORY......

www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/04/behind-t...f-cnns-stunning-fall

. It all comes down to a fundamental strategy conflict between the two sides. WBD sees CNN as a value-add to the mega service it plans to create, eventually bringing CNN under the same streaming umbrella as the Discovery networks and the erstwhile WarnerMedia properties (HBO, etc.). They decided it was better to rip off the Band-Aid now, especially with more than $3 billion in cuts that the new company is expected to find

so-o-o,as a personal example of bolded ....one of the many jobs I had at corp America..IOC...international op center, long lines for AT&T. There were 4 across the nation,JACKSONVILLE,WHITE PLAIN N.Y.,LAKEWOOD COLORADO and SAN FRN.

Rumors rumbled that they were closing some center down...we were in the middle of the country,so the
location seemed secure because of the accessibility to east and west foreign countries. WE WERE ASSURED that we were "safe" and mgmt. was smug about the security we had. They were in the middle of updating our equipment, sub flooring, conduit being placed ,NEW consoles....WE were rockin' with reassurance. BIG MISTAKE....it took three weeks(THREE) FOR THEM TO SHUT US DOWN ,CLOSE THE DOORS AND TURN OFF THE LIGHTS....Jacksonville,Fla. was the winner.

Just ONE example of the upheaval of an ugly decision....there were others.

HA, the bottom line is that EVERYBODY who understands the CNN business model knows that streaming platform was going to be DOA. The only people left that go to CNN for news are those who still suffer from severe TDS and people like me who enjoy watching the enemy and learning their tactics.

If the leadership was to expose the intent of the company it would hurt the company even more. The employees in that company were hired because they have the same flawed and divisive ideology so they too deserve to go down with the ship.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

""The employees in that company were hired because they have the same flawed and divisive ideology so they too deserve to go down with the ship"

Let me relate another example of screwing the employee....(disagreeing with the above statement).

Here in Montrose, we finally got a HOBBY LOBBY 6 weeks ago. The crew that was hired on to "bring the store up" were under the impression they were hired for j0bs AFTER the store opened....NOPE, IT WAS NOT EXPLAINED TO THEM IT WAS A TEMP JOB TO OPEN THE STORE. They let all of the crew go,after
the soft opening....it was a screw job from mgmt. (I rarely go to Hobby Lobby, because of their business
practices,NOW that I know this screw job...I have not set foot into the new store.
