UKRAINE-HOW TO SHOOT YOURSELF IN THE FOOT

You may remember that Elon Musk utilized his Starlink satelite internet system for the Ukraine. Well, the Ukrainian ambassador to Gerrmany told him to "F**K OFF", because of his suggestion that there be negotiations.
Musk has told the Pentagon that Starlink can no longer afford the costs of the system and asked them to take over. This was sent to the Pentagon before the remarks of the ambassador.
Musk not to be outdone stated:
Early Friday morning, Musk replied to a Kyiv Post reporter who noted the insult in a report on Starlink, “We’re just following his recommendation,” with a shrugging emoji.

The Ukraine forces are now reporting that they are losing communications.

It was always my impression that ambassadors were to have tact.

Ukraine is sure getting cocky. I think President Biden will write a check to Musk in order to restore service.

Slo Joe just gave Ukraine another 725 million in armaments from the DoD. After selling the arms on the black market, Ukraine will have some money to pay for their Starlink connection.

Ukraine managed to spend $5 million to shoot down a $25,000. drone. Not a very good ROI (return on investment).

I'm certain the people whose live were saved by the destruction of that drone would disagree.

Thats true because they don’t have to pass those costs to their children to pay back in the future, like my kids have to do. Ukrainians would be fine with that cost being a billion or more.

Yes, because the military is run like our government and at least half the money is wasted. The military is a necessary expense but the people in charge are either corrupt or just ignorant.

How much of the billions we’ve already given to Ukraine didn’t go to where it was intended? You and I don’t know that answer so we have to trust the same people who have already wasted trillions over the last decades. Big government naturally creates big fraud and corruption. If you disagree with that statement, please list one large government program that doesn’t have massive waste and fraud.

Oh, let's see.... Police departments. That's a pretty large government program. Fire departments. Same thing. Department of Transportation - builds roads, bridges, interstates, etc. That has a lot of oversight, so there's not a lot of waste there.

Oooh-oooh! I know! How about Social Security? That's a massive government program that doesn't have much waste. It's run efficiently and there's not much corruption there. No private contractors, just the government agency taking in money and giving it out. Wow. What a great program, keeping our senior citizens out of the poor house.

Oh, and then there's medicaid / medicare. There may be some waste in those programs, but I'll bet it's minimal. Again, a necessary program that helps the elderly and poor.

Then there's public school systems. You might think there's waste, but just ask the teachers who have to buy supplies for their classes.

Yes. Our defense budget is ten times what China spends on their budget. We have 11 full size carriers and more smaller carriers. No other nation has more than two aircraft carriers.

We also spend way too much on foreign aid.
