No big deal other than a decrease in revenues to the organizations that provide the pill now. Since the advent of BCPs 50+ years ago they have been accessible to females that wanted them.

Either a physician or nurse practitioner can prescribe BCP's. OTC (over the counter) means that a prescription is not necessary.
A telephone consultation is considered adequate.

Women could face barriers to obtain Opill because health insurance is not currently required to cover birth control without a prescription.
