Maher is waking up but not woke. He's one of the few liberals who is willing to call out the woke BS that is infecting our society. I'd call that progress.
As for this point, I'd say "democracy" is failing because we are headed toward communism and the sheep are clueless. Censoring speech by means of the government's alliance with the private sector should be scary enough, but having the system take out the people's choice of leadership will seal the deal. Our founders would be sick if they could see how this government has devolved.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
