Great point. In many ways, I think China has always been a much more dangerous enemy of America than Russia. China has a billion consumers that Western corporations want access to. So industries like Hollywood and car corporations will do Xi's bidding to keep access to the market. Hollywood movies change their scripts in order to appease Beijing.
Moscow never had that amount of power in the West. Soviets have been bad guys in movies for decades. Chinese corporations are also buying up American land and American stocks. Chinese Police units operate in the United States targeting Chinese expatriates.
