Confirmation Bias? was created by FredHayek

For all three groups? Republicans don't trust liberal media and reporters? Democrats want to trust liberal media. And independents don't trust political parties or the media.

I challenge you to define "Liberal Media" and "Conservative Media."

Identify the media outlets, i.e., news organizations, that are liberal and which are conservative. Name them.

Then identify those media outlets that you think are middle of the road, or unbiased.

90% of journalist students describe themselves as liberal. 90% of journalists give political donations to Democrats or other leftists.

And sometimes it can be a little bit of both. One example is the Wall Street Journal. Their reporters are liberal, their editors are conservative, and they also publish op-eds from liberals and moderates. New York Times? Liberal reporters, liberal editors, and recently their reporters protested op-eds from conservative politicians like Senator Tom Cotton.

Left wingers will correctly say another big influence is the owners of the media. They want to make money, so they might discourage stories that will upset big corporate advertisers.

I don't know how prevalent this is, but I do notice that 60 Minutes prefers to go after smaller businesses. Maybe because they don't want to get sued?

If you don't know which media is judged conservative or liberal, there are a number of graphs that you can Google that will lay them out for you. I read a variety of sources liberal mainly because they predominant, but also many conservative. (Still miss the Rocky Mountain News.)

I get it. You don't want to list your sources, just like Rick.

Tell me, do you agree with this chart? Which of these media sources do you read?

Don't trust the press!

I know we are hill people but even mountain folk know this description of Aurora is misleading.

This is what happens when you are like K and only get your news from liberal sources that believe in covering up stories that show Democrats in a bad light.

Get your news from a myriad of sources and decide what actually is going on.

And now comes out a story that Meta/Facebook voluntarily banned and censored content because they were worried that Democrats in government would go after them.

Power corrupts and the US Federal government is the most powerful organization on the planet. They could shut down any American based corporation overnight.
