Rick wrote: You recently said you didn’t like the Electoral College and would rather have a majority rule when it comes to elections. That’s what you would have in an actual democracy, which is far different than a Representative Republic. I realize today’s Democrats think they are smarter than the founders who created a system that gives all Americans equal voting power. Imagine if the entire country was governed like CA. Every state has different needs and different cultures and each state should have an equal say based on population. That’s why the left wants to pack all of our cities with poor unvetted “migrants”… bump up the numbers and you bump up the number of representatives.
The founders were infinitely wiser than the people you want to continue wrecking the country.
No, we will still have a representative government, since we democratically choose our representatives, senators, presidents, etc. to REPRESENT us.
The EC unfairly gives certain states the power to overrule the will of the popular electorate, thus giving us mistakes like Dubya and trump.
But then we both know that if the EC is gone, then republicans will never again hold the oval office.
Oh, and rick? Once again, only U.S. citizens can vote in federal elections. As I've asked before, if you have evidence that immigrants are voting in federal elections, then post it.
Maybe we need to increase the size of the House of Representatives?
It hasn't increased member numbers since the 1920's despite the population increasing to 330 million citizens. One congresscritter for every 40,000 instead of the current 400,000?
Rural Colorado counties could get their own congress person instead of sharing corrupt Peterson with suburban JeffCo.
Probably cut down on gerrymandering too.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
I’m sorry, K, you’ll never convince me that you are wiser than our founders. The last thing they wanted was a system that gave an advantage to big cities/states and leave the smaller ones with no voice.
And no,K, I never said illegals are voting but they do get counted in the census, especially in certain states. Increased population means more representation…. Does it not?
WSJ: More Americans label themselves as Republicans instead of Democrats! This hasn't occurred in thirty years!
Is Kamala Harris bringing down the party? Seeing more states like Arizona where loathsome Trump is polling higher than the female GOP candidate for the Senate.

If I was Biden, I’d be snickering and hoping that his moron VP goes down in flames. Biden took a shiv in the ribs from Pelosi and Obama. His legacy is now one of failure and rejection from his own party, the party that knew he was losing his mind, which was a perfect choice for the puppet master (Obama).
