We have a fork in the road, and there are only two roads… you have to pick one.
What some of you seem to not understand is that informed voters know there are only two roads and those roads go in opposite directions. There is no middle road, no “moderate” road. The uniformed will pick a candidate based on personality, appearance, and other factors that don’t consider policy. I think Harris may have an advantage given how much the masses have been waterboarded with media propaganda over the last 8 years.
Those of us on this board seem to be informed, albeit we are obviously getting information from different sources we don’t agree on. My point is, if I know the direction the Democrats are leading us and I believe it’s a horrible direction that will ruin my children’s futures, how could I possibly vote for any Democrat? The same.goes for those of you on the left… it doesn’t matter who the Republican candidate is, if you believe in the principles and policies of the Democrat party, there is no Republican you’d want to vote for, ever.
HA talked about how she would consider Hailey, until it became clear that her policies and principles aligned with Trump’s.
So when you say “how could you vote for Trump?”, I’d just say that I would vote for a convicted murderer if I knew that person would lead us into the opposite direction the Democrats want to take us. If I could be swayed by a better personality or because of physical characteristics, then I would have no principles. If I sit the election out because I hate both candidates, then I would just be a worthless citizen that passes may vote to someone else to make.
The conversation missing from this board is the policies, away from the candidates. If we could talk about those policies without putting faces on them, I think it would lead to much better discussions. Unfortunately the candidates always seem to “trump” the policies.
There are a lot of people that say similar things, Rick. I have friends that say they will vote for trump because of his actions, not his words.

You're going to vote for a guy who put Putin above Americans. A guy who gave seven badly needed covid testing machines to our adversary, instead of giving them to hospitals and clinics that desperately needed them.
Actions do speak louder than words. You say you would vote for a convicted murderer if they were on the right path. Was trump on the right path when he gave a dictator resources that should have been used for the citizens he had sworn to protect?
Biden/Harris gave hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to Iran, who used it to buy terrorists missiles so they could strike American shipping in the Red Sea, but those with TDS like K consider the Covid machines to Russia a greater sin.
Or K just read her daily DNC talking points.

Two separate agreements in the fall allowed Iran to access up to $16 billion of its previously frozen assets, including a reported $10 billion as the result of an extension of a Trump-era waiver that allows Iran to access funds for humanitarian purposes.
Posts on social media have misrepresented those agreements, claiming, “Joe Biden gave 16 billion to Iran.” One early version of the claim, which spread widely on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, showed a picture of President Joe Biden with this text: “Anyone remember when this guy handed $16,000,000,000 to Iran last year?” It came from an account that describes itself as “Conservative populist.” When the post went viral, the account added a marketing link to a survivalist goods company.
“This use of the word ‘gave’ is certainly intended to mislead,” Heather Williams, a senior policy researcher at RAND who specializes in Middle East regional issues, told us in an email. “[P]eople often try to portray this issue in a way that gives the impression that America is giving funds to Iran.”
The agreements don’t provide any U.S. money to Iran, as the posts suggest. Rather, they allow Iran to access its own assets that had been frozen in foreign banks due to earlier sanctions. The money can only be used for humanitarian purposes.
Juuuuussst a bit misleading, wouldn't you say? But bravo to you for repeating the MAGA talking points.
and yet, Fred, it has been confirmed that trump DID give seven covid testing machines to Putin, thus putting another country above his own. Just a bit treasonous, wouldn't you say?
No, this was a different time. If it was billions, I would have said billions.
This was just hundreds of millions.
And hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars would have helped American Covid sufferers more than seven machines.
Right?

Well, then, Fred, you're going to have to provide a link to your "hundreds of millions" story, otherwise, it's just bunk.
Oh, and the machines? Apparently, they were in short supply and could determine almost immediately if an infection was present. Remember all those first responders, nurses, doctors, etc. that died in the first nine months of the pandemic? Yeah, they might still be alive if they could have determined if a person was infected, but then, we'll never know. Vlad got the machines instead.
HA talked about how she would consider Hailey, until it became clear that her policies and principles aligned with Trump’s.( per Rick),,,,i ALSO SAID i DID NOT AGREE WITH SOME OF HER POLICIES,but because of extensive experience with foreign leaders and negotiating skills I thought it could be a very good choice, and as a woman she would bring a different perspective to the platform. SHE HAS STATED SHE DOES NOT ASK TRUMP...SHE TELLS TRUMP.....which translates to I will NOT BE YOUR BITCH,but rather I will take into consideration your views, but make my own choices......sounds like an individual who is use to the "patriarchal paradigm".......

Weird. Character counts.
Did you intentionally ignore my point or did you actually miss it? Tell me what policies liberals and conservatives agree on. Are there any? No, there are not. Arguing with you about individual actions that may or may not be true, really is pointless. Do you not see the two parties pointing in opposite directions? If I think Democrat policies, present and future are dangerous, how could I possibly vote for any Democrat, no matter who the Republican candidate is?
I think you have principles, do you not? If you found out that Harris worked with a Chinese spy to help him steal American technology, or maybe a video popped up of her smashing puppies with a baseball bat, would you drop your liberal principles and vote for the Republican?
If you’re honest, you would vote for whoever aligned with your principles, especially if the other side wants the opposite of what you want.
