A Challenge for Homeagain

The current "Trump tax cut for the rich" (according to Democrats & their allies in legacy media), which are set to expire unless renewed, have actually, demonstrably, brought more tax relief to the middle and lower income earners than it has brought to "millionaires & billionaires". Maybe that's why the working class threw so much support behind Trump in the last election? The lie you are attempting to perpetuate here has been debunked and is no longer believed by anyone who isn't a shill for the Democrats?

What is Trump "breaking"? Please be specific if you plan on answering my question. If you think he's breaking things like USAID, please explain why that organization should remain as it is.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

A careful analysis of the IRS tax data, one that includes the effects of tax credits and other reforms to the tax code, shows that filers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $15,000 to $50,000 enjoyed an average tax cut of 16 percent to 26 percent in 2018, the first year Republicans' Tax Cuts and Jobs Act went into effect and the most recent year for which data is available.

Filers who earned $50,000 to $100,000 received a tax break of about 15 percent to 17 percent, and those earning $100,000 to $500,000 in adjusted gross income saw their personal income taxes cut by around 11 percent to 13 percent.

By comparison, no income group with an AGI of at least $500,000 received an average tax cut exceeding 9 percent, and the average tax cut for brackets starting at $1 million was less than 6 percent. (For more detailed data, see my table published here.)

That means most middle-income and working-class earners enjoyed a tax cut that was at least double the size of tax cuts received by households earning $1 million or more.

What's more, IRS data shows earners in higher income brackets contributed a bigger slice of the total income tax revenue pie following the passage of the tax reform law than they had in the previous year.

Gee willikers, that took all of 2 seconds to find . . . but you have to venture outside your echo chamber bubble to see it. ;)

The current system has risen to levels of corruption that are unbelievable yet true.
We have to break the whole system down to studs and start over. We need much better controls on spending.

Just as I thought, you have nothing but your media talking points. Finding corruption and waste is not breaking things, it’s saving the future of this country. Who on you side ever wanted to look deep into our government bureaucracy?

Do you really think our government hasn’t gotten too big and corrupt? Yes, both sides have created our $36 trillion in debt, but only one man has decided to do something about it.

Trump is moving fast because that’s the only he can get anything done. If he gives your commie dirtbags time to hold him up, they will hold him up. Scumbag Democrats are like rats on a sinking ship right now, and it’s beautiful.

Let me know when Trump “breaks the Constitution”. Most intelligent people know that’s something that would be impossible for a president to do… however, if you have TDS, anything seems possible.

Economy was being decimated because . . . wait for it . . . government's were closing everything down and compelling people to stay home. Butcher's couldn't sell meat (but Costco could), tailors couldn't sell clothes (but Walmart could), hardware stores had to close (but HomeDepot was open), Pet supply stores had to close, (but Chewy could deliver) . . . the government took the ability of the working class to work away from them, not for a couple of weeks, but for months and months. The federal government doesn't get to discriminate when it comes to The People HA, if they give a "stimulus check" to some who filed a tax return, they have to give one to everyone who filed a tax return. If they give a child care credit to some, they must offer it to all.

That's why our federal government should not be, and never should have been allowed to become, the single largest distributor of individual charity. The federal government is a macro organization created to oversee the largest of things (defense of the Union, type and value of money, post offices and post roads, etc.) and individual welfare of each and every person living in these United States is a micro thing that the federal government is wholly incapable of overseeing.

But when the federal government is providing "guidance" on the measures the States should be implementing during a pandemic, the federal government is then also responsible for mitigating the damages their "guidance" created. Which is why the federal government not only had to issue "stimulus checks" and waive State contributions and limits on unemployment "benefits", but also why they needed to bail out the banks and financial institutions during the financial crisis the laws of Congress and the actions of the GSEs Fanny and Freddie created.
