I'll admit that I'm not savvy enough to understand how a subscription, whether it be to the NYT, WSJ, or even Adobe Creative Suite, or MS365 Office, can be considered a "subsidy" to the enterprise from which the subscription was purchased. I can also certainly see where open access to such subscriptions by anyone within a government agency can be abused with a total disregard for the spending of the tax revenue provided by hardworking citizens and residents, but I'm not willing, absent internal communications from Politico asking USAID to purchase scores of subscriptions they didn't need in order to help finance the media outlet, that the abuse of the taxpayers for subscriptions is akin to intentional subsidy of the organization.
Ever seen where unions will buy up thousands of books written by politicians? Think those unions are trying to buy preferential treatment by those same politicians?
If you are buying political reporting on the government, and the majority of those subscriptions are to government offices, are you also buying influence with that organization?
If Rolling Stone found 90% of their subscriptions went to Sony Music employees, do you think you would see many bad reviews from artists signed to Sony?

Sorry, I forgot about this thread and started another one. I guess I need to start one that lists the waste and fraud that is in every government agency. HA has no idea what’s coming… her love of big government will be tested soon.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
And remember USAID was created as a tool of imperialism.
Created as a tool for the CIA. Go into small nations, bribe their leaders, spy on them, and make those dictators do what is best for the US and not their nation.
