I think you have it backwards. Your fellow lefties understand the current reality and they don't have any good arguments that logically counters what Trump is doing. Closing the border makes sense. Digging all the waste and fraud out of our bloated government makes sense. Not allowing men to compete against women in sports makes sense.
You live in a different reality where those things don't make sense.

Now it looks like Jordan and Egypt will work together to rebuild the Gaza Strip. Egypt hates the Muslim Brotherhood who are allied with Hamas. So hopefully the Egyptian military and police take out Hamas during the rebuild.
Jordan was almost taken over by Palestinian refugees a few decades ago. They might also take this opportunity to get revenge on the PLO.
