I agree with the sentiment, just not which group of people is responsible for abandoning the principles contained in the Declaration of Independence and the federal Constitution. Collectivists have been waging war on both for generations, the modern assault began with Woodrow Wilson and FDR and has been continued by the likes of LBJ and Obama. We can thank the likes of Pelosi, AOC, Sanders, Mamdani, Schumer and others for keeping the war going in the here and now.
Boiled down to its essence, you have no "right" to the fruits of my labor to give to someone else. I don't work to provide food, shelter, healthcare, clothing or anything else to benefit a family in NY, CA, GA, MI at the expense of being able to provide those things for my family, and yet that is what the collectivists in the federal government has been engaged in promulgating for the last 100 or more years and why 60% of the federal budget today is spent on individual welfare for some citizens at the expense of the rest of the citizens and why we have amassed $37 Trillion in federal debt. No one has a "right" to the charity of others to better their own lives, yet that is precisely what the vast majority of the federal spending is spent on; taking money away under threat of force from someone, money that they could be using to take care of themselves and their family, and providing that money to others. That is precisely the opposite of the values upon which this Union was founded and framed.
