I AM UNAFFILIATED,ALWAYS HAVE BEEN....THE D'S R WORTHLESS AND HAVE BEEN FOR SOME TIME NOW......WE R IN A TRANSITIONAL PERIOD OF TIME...WHAT THE END RESULT OF THAT CYCLE WILL BE IS AN INTERESTING INQUIRY.

Unaffiliated simply means you don't want to get requests to contribute to campaigns. No one is a pure anything HA, we're all a hybrid of policies we support and those we don't. I align myself more with the group that promotes an individual duty to regulate my own behavior, respect that the rights of others are equal to my own, and be my brother's keeper as opposed to a collective responsibility. That means I share more views with Republicans than I do with Democrats and until we repeal the 12th and 17th Amendments we're going to have 2 parties dominate the political landscape with many subsets attached to each whose members generally vote for one or the other unless they're willing to throw their vote away and take a chance that the candidate they disagree with more gets elected to office.

You are not unaffiliated, you're simply center left individual who doesn't want to say they are a Democrat. I'm a center right individual and because we aren't going to escape the two party system anytime in the near future, I call myself a Republican as they are more representative of my views than the Democrats are.

So say I'm a middle of the road, not much to show, underachieving average Joe, but I'm a helluva lover, a damned good brother, and I wear this heart on my sleeve. Now that might not mean much to you, but it does to me . . .
