Hopefully the young father recovers quickly from being reportedly shot in the neck.

Political violence is ramping up all over the world right now. Nepal's parliament is burning and the politicians are being thrown in the river to drown.

France's government has fallen again. Five different prime ministers under Macron, 80,000 French police have been called to patrol towns and cities.

Is political violence ever justified?

Saw the video of the shot on Kirk's neck. Arterial spray, doesn't look survivable. Prayers sent.

I really hope he survives for the sake of his family and this country. We need brave people like him to speak out against the leftist insanity that is destroying this and other countries around the world.

The devil is a Democrat.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Given the founding of this Union was an act of political violence, I'd have to say yes, sometimes it is.

Charlie was warning of a dramatic increase in political violence from the left, just a couple months ago. His voice and influence could not be tolerated.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Speculation about the shooting position. No current suspect. An earlier person arrested has been released.

Appears to be a Mauser style bolt action rifle scoped. A normal big game hunting setup.

Not an assault rifle.

The 30.06 is probably the most versatile round out there and rounds can be loaded for anything from prairie dogs to bison.

Lots of surplus rifles from the 1950's South American armies were imported and sold for sporting purposes in the late 60's, early 70's, might be hard to find a sales receipt for it, though they are saying the shooter was in their 20's, so its possible they'll have a record of the sale even though Utah doesn't require a 4473 for private sales. But, if'n I had sold a rifle matching that description in a private sale recently you can bet your last fiat dime I'd be dropping that dime on the person I sold it to.

They will have DNA and possible fingerprints from that rifle, guaranteed. The coward may be at large now, but they'll have him in custody in short order, of that I'm certain. If they can track down someone from DNA on a knife sheath, they'll catch this clown too.

Not the most professional scope mounting job there. Hardly the look of a trained sniper.
