Read a story today about a Somali daycare center that received nearly $2 million in funding for 2025, misspelled learning on their sign (Learing), a non-functioning phone number (also on the sign), and no sign of any activity.
It would be one thing if the stories of waste, fraud, and abuse of the charity provided by taxpayers were anecdotal instead of rampant. One might be able to shake their heads at the wickedness of a few bad actors while celebrating the overall good that the charity accomplished. That, however, isn't the case. The stories aren't anecdotal, they are systemic, riddling the charity programs like metastasized cancer spreads, corrupting the whole body.
Sadly this fraud is only being found by independent journalists. One of those reporters told the networks about what he was seeing in Minneapolis and they refused to cover the story so he did it himself.
Journalists have failed us again. They don't want to report on the fraud that makes (D) Governor Tim Walz either complicit or a fool for not stopping it himself.
