VL:

Don't be so easily fooled, though I am flattered by the imitation the screenname of Nemesis was open since I have always preferred the techie version I have had since the Internet was created by Al Gore, I did notice nemesis that you changed your avatar.

Different screennames , definitely different political views.

I have said to you VL, if you can read, before, and apparently you can't tell the difference.

One can do with statistics whatever one wants to show. It is hardly definitive.

Like the 23.1 million jobs Clinton created vs. the 3 million jobs that Bush created... Funny how when the stats don't go the way they want them to, "it's hardly definitive."

The only jobs created by the federal government at any level are more government jobs. And IIRC, the jobs that were created while Clinton was our chief executive, and the budget surplus that was generated during the same time, happened when the opposition party was in control of both houses of Congress and the message that the voters sent to Washington along with a Republican majority was, get ready for it, smaller government and lower taxes. Hmmmm. History may indeed repeat itself here. We might actually stop a runaway progressive administration by introducing into the mix a Congress controlled by those who actually are looking to shrink the size of the government bootprint on the backs of the taxpayers.

I have no doubt that history will repeat itself......the republicans will be voted in....they will forget everything they campaigned on....and they will go on a spending spree just like they always have in the past....only their spending will benefit corporations, their cronies, and the wealthy. People will see what they are doing and bingo....they'll be voting democrats back into office. And so it goes, ad infinitum.

I understand one of the biggest "whines of the day" is some guy from Chicago complaining on a blog that he and his wife, (who make a combined income of over $400K), that he feels outraged because if the over-$250,000 tax-rate is bumped back to what it was in the Reagan/Clinton years, he'll have to pay an extra 3.9% on his income OVER-$250,000! Oh boo-friggin'-hoo.

Lessee $400,000 - $250,000 = $150,000 * 3.9% = $5,850 in additional taxes... on a $400,000 income... Uh-huh... I'll send over some violin-players to play "Hearts & Flowers" and keep him entertained...

What..? A range of 1948 to 2005 (57 years) in the chart is not enough of a range to show the trend for ya?
