Has anyone ever been polled?

Seems like every election we get polled - got that call today in fact - "what is your political affiliation, who are you going to vote for, blah, blah, blah".

Polls are an opportunity to have fun.

I received a call a few months ago while in California asking if I’d mind answering a few questions about the upcoming elections (they didn’t bother confirming my residency status). The questions quickly focused on the Senate race between Boxer and Fiorina. Several fairly neutral questions were asked and then it became an attack campaign on Fiorina. The questioner would make a negative statement about Fiorina, then ask if I would be more or less likely to vote for her based on these ‘facts’. After the second such question, I could only hope my answers were being recorded in full. Boxer is one of the slimiest politicians in Washington. And that says a lot.

Now, if I have time, I’ll accept the poll call and some fun with the poor volunteer on the other end.
