Amnesty International Wants Bush Prosecuted for Admitted...

(Nov. 10) -- Amnesty International is calling for the prosecution of George W. Bush following the former president's admission to authorizing waterboarding techniques, according to a report on the human rights group's website.

"Under international law, anyone involved in torture must be brought to justice, and that does not exclude former President George W. Bush," Amnesty International Senior Director Claudio Cordone said in a statement. "If his admission is substantiated, the USA has the obligation to prosecute him. In the absence of a U.S. investigation, other states must step in and carry out such an investigation themselves."

So does Ed Schultz. I heard a caller today on the Thom Hartman show say the only reason Obama does not prosecute is because Cheney has a nuc weapon and told the pres he would set it off in an American city if he did. The host more or less let it slide.

For what? The same things that Clinton did? At least he wasn't getting a BJ with his fingers inches from the red button to start WWIII. At least he didn't lie to the American people.

He kept you and your family safe for 7 1/2 years and called terrorist acts, Terrorist Acts, instead of some PC words that mean nothing.

Oh I know, he wasn't a Democrat. Blame Bush for everything.

I believe Waterboarding is appropriate for any suspect of terrorism taken from a battlefield. In fact, I don't believe I would have any limits on interrogation for non-US citizen terrorist suspects.

I am trying to imagine how one would make the decision NOT to interrogate with waterboarding a suspect taken from an active battleground. If it gets them to talk. I don't care. Make the birdie chirp with some water.

First you have to agree that waterboarding is torture. I don't agree that it is. (I can hear the howls now) That was the big arguement with the libs a while back, "waterboarding is the most terrible of acts, it's torture, it's inhumane, blah, blah, blah". You have to make waterboarding, a fairly mild form of "persuasion" or "incentive", torture before you can proceed. In their foggy minds they concluded that it was.

Now if they want to see some REAL crimes against humanity...they should focus their energy on what the Taliban is doing to the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan or visit any backwater country on the continent of Africa. But no, they would rather spin their wheels on George Bush because he is the poster child for every liberal panty-waist pussy from Colorado to France. At first I laughed at it...but now I'm starting to believe that there really is a George Bush Syndrome.

I think they should spend their time, money and very unhealthy fixations on Osama bin Laden or any tyrant slaughtering people in Africa by the hundreds of thousands. I just don't understand and think these people need professional help.

I think the war-criminals Bush/Cheney should be prosecuted. Pretty cut and dried.
