And what the progressives fear most is that despite some internal friction there remains enough adherence to the basic principles of republican government upon which this nation was founded that in 2012, when a large majority of the Senate seats up for election will belong to progressive minded Democrats, the conservative block, religious and libertarian, will again unite to unseat the progressives responsible for ignoring the will of the people to advance their partisan agenda. That is why they have to do all in their power to increase whatever rift there might currently in the fervent hope that they can cause enough of a divide to split the conservative vote and enable their lackey to be reelected.

Look at the sentiment sweeping the nation progressives. The TSA outrage is just the latest example of a populace that has grown weary of federal intervention into their lives. Their minds are returning to the principles of republican government so eloquently captured by Thomas Jefferson in his letter to Elbridge Gerry in 1799:

I am for a government rigorously frugal and simple, applying all the possible savings of the public revenue to the discharge of the national debt; and not for a multiplication of officers and salaries merely to make partisans, and for increasing by every device the public debt on the principle of its being a public blessing.

Remind me again....Who created the TSA? .... And why was it created?..... And whose "watch" did the attack happen on that required the creation of the TSA?

Hrrrumph!... Yes, we on the Left bitched for 7 years about the "federal intervention" in our lives... The warrantless wiretaps; the spying on emails and phone calls on some sort of fishing expedition to find something; the "National Security Letters" used to find out what people were reading, buying and renting; and all the rest of the shredding of the 4th, 5th, and 14th Amendments... You all told us to "Suck it up...It's best for you... To complain is to be 'unpatriotic'..."

Boy, Karma's a bitch, ain't it?

Here's where you are dead wrong. The tea party prevented a tidal wave sweeping the House, Senate and state races. Too many whacko's for the average American. The voters were upset that after voting for serious changes in how our countrys money was being managed no changes were made, just more of the same. They weren't voting for, they were voting against. They just couldn't hold their noses tight enough for many of the teabaggers. (Buck and Tancredo being excellent examples)

What the Tea Party needs is a leader like Nancy Pelosi. With friends like that, who needs enemies?
