don't underestimate the people. they were pissed off in our most recent election and if things don't change and improve there will be even more pissed off people who won't go with the establishment.

I would not underestimate the Tea Party vote.
Right, because the Tea Party was so successful in this election. It is safe to say that the Republicans would have the majority in the Senate if the Tea Party had not interfered. Delaware, Colorado and Nevada would have very likely swung Republican had it not been for Angle, Buck and O'Donnell.
You go Tea Party, you are the best hope for the Democrats.
I guess we will find out what direction this country is headed based on the outcome of the primary elections. With Palin I know what I will be getting, a true conservative, with the others I feel we are more likely to get a RINO. Republicans do not need to win Delaware, Colorado or Nevada to win, but they do need to win Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida. The T-Party did win those.
When she stands up on the debate stage with other Republican contenders, she's gonna get the stuffing knocked out of her. No amount of winking at the camera, no amount of tweeting or reality TV shows are going to save her from looking like a junior high debate student. She will be way out of her league and it will show no matter how many bumpits she has in her hair. She has shown a lack of knowledge on government policies ("What's the Bush doctrine?") and her inability to be intellectually curious ("Which newspapers do I read? Well, all of 'em.") will shoot her down. Remember, this is the woman who wrote crib notes on her hand.
Contrary to popular belief, Americans actually want someone smarter than them to be running the country, and Sarah has not shown that she knows anything other than how to exploit her popularity for monetary gain, which is actually a clever thing for someone in her position. Remember, she went to at least four different colleges over the course of six years before getting a degree from the University of Idaho in 1987. I know I don't want someone with a lower IQ than me running the country. I want the best, the brightest, the most accomplished person to be in charge. We may differ on who that is, but I'm pretty sure that the American people are going to agree that it is not Palin.
Still, I'd like to see her run for Prez. That's reality TV that I'd like to see.

Don't you remember, we tried that with Obama. The MSM told us how bright and accomplished he was.
That's why I said: "We may differ on who that is, but I'm pretty sure that the American people are going to agree that it is not Palin."
Please read my entire post before taking a sentence out of context.
It's not of context at all. I am pointing out your flawed logic. Reagan was an actor and did not have an Ivy league education or run a successful business. Every president since has had an Ivy league education and has not been as successful as Reagan was. The difference is that Reagan had principles and Obama does not. Palin has principles and Obama does not. The American people are sick of being lied to by a president who will say anything to keep his job.
If the choice comes down between Palin and Obama, I wonder who the people will pick? Do the American people who want someone like them or an Ivy league elitist who thinks the rest of us are clinging to our guns and religion. Palin is someone that most Americans can identify with, Obama on the other hand just comes off as an ass who is completely out of touch with most Americans.
Nice opinion post - and that's all it is. Just your opinion.
We obviously differ on our ideas of who is a good leader. That does not make us both wrong or right. But for you to present your opinion as fact or to claim to know what Americans want is not very honest, now is it?
