Whenever I left Vietnam I was not the same kid who went to war. Between arrival and departure a totally different person surfaced. At first I fought for the Army, but by the time I left I fought for survival. In the interim there was obedience, duty, compulsive behavior, hate, fear, apathy, numbness, surrealism, and nightmare. To this day I cannot fathom the good fortune that allowed me to come home alive.
As a kid I could not understand the attitude of my uncles and father toward their service in WWII. After my tour I can start to sympathize. After my return there has been no discussion of it. My brother (who toured) and I have never spoken of it

Like I said before best thing you can do is just shut your stupid ass mouth, I deal with PTSD daily, it cost me my marriage, you don't have it, don't even think that a documentary can tell you about it. Why don't you just shut up and go away. There are no corporate interests that any of were or are fighting for. We were or are doing what we were ordered to do. Tell you what, go ask your father about those in the military. Thanks to them you don't have to speak in a foreign language. You know there are ah's, then there is you.
Isn't it funny how all our bases in Iraq are right on and along that giant oil pipeline? Must be a crazy coincidence- Du huh.....And my father flew multi million dollar jet fighter planes in Korea and Viet Nam- He was'nt peeling potatoes on a ship, or arresting druken sailors on shore leave so quit acting like you stormed the beaches of Normandy or somthing

You're an opinionated ass who knows nothing of what he speaks about about 80% of the time, and when you talk about the military, you prove yourself 100% clueless, no matter what you want to spout about having been on bases and your dad's career. Having had none of your own, but you know it all. You watch a biased documentary and are gullible enough to think it's the truth.
My sons are better men than you have ever been or ever will be. My husband is a better man than you can ever hope to be. EVERY military man, past, present and future is a better man than you, and you aren't worthy of licking the dust of their passing.
No wonder your first husband dumped you, and BTW- I served for 4 years

LOL - you're a funny wee man. I left my first husband, sweetcheeks - you can ask him. He had no say in the matter; I moved out. And even he's a bigger man than you, because our divorce was amicable, the rest of our lives have been amicable, and I'm honestly happy that he's found a woman to be with and has learned to become a good father thanks to his stepsons.
The rest? Proof, and don't bother with the USAA insurance bit. I have it, and I've never been in the military. Lots of non military people have it.
You really are an unhappy man, aren't you? This whole "I'm better than everyone" in the vast majority of the threads you start lately smack of a man who is very unhappy with his life and is kicking the proverbial dog.
If you didn't work today - good for you. If you had all of your family up for Thanksgiving - good for you. If you think your wife is the best in the world- good for you, and her. But that doesn't make you unique, it just makes you like a lot of other men around here.
The rest? See a counselor rather than dump your ego here.

hey asshole, this is where you are wrong AGAIN. The person that told you that you knew a little about something, they lied to you. All the bases are not on the pipeline!

Lt Col. Karen Kwiatowsky told me- fast forward to 4:30

Good Documentary btw- http://www.hijackingcatastrophe.org/
It's not biased, it just tells it like it is. You know if you backwood redneck tea baggers just came out and said "we need the oil, our economy will crash without it, and I don't care what country we have to destroy, occupy, rape and pillage to get it!"......I'd have a lot more respect for you, but you lame brains let yourself be manipulated with bullsh**...If I heard the real argument over and over and over I might just one day say "you're right! I can't afford $6.00/gallon gas, f*** the rest of the world!" Until some of you people come up to a basic level of understanding about whats really going on, I wont discuss it further. Youre stupid, your arguments are stupid and quite frankly I just don't have time for it, and I don't have time to bring you up to speed.. I'll just go somewere else were people already know whats going on. So lets get on it folks, I need more here.
