Somehow I knew that the Mainstream media would counter this story with their Bullsh**. Scruffy, you can believe it if you like but the old history books, before they were rewritten by you Liberals told the true story as depicted in the video. The colonists nearly starved to death because the stupid failure of a socialist system took away all their incentive to do anything because they lost the initiative to do things for themselves.

The New York Times too is fast becoming a failed experiment as will all mainstream media that chooses to paint everything with the brushed of Progressive Socialism.

I do hope you didn't stuff yourself too much. You know how lazy you get when you have eaten.

I sure hope you can direct me to these history books that were written before they were re-written.

You don't think the threat of starving to death is a good enough incentive to work?

If we are really going to get technical, that was only 25 years or so before the Pilgrims.

Try circa 1000 and Leif Erickson, traveling far enough south along the North American coast to find an area with a frost-free winter. I'm sure his crew gave thanks after a perilous journey into the unknown.

But yes, the Paleoamericans were here long before any of those mentioned.

It's a wonderful thing to learn about your heritage. I applaud you.

I have also researched my ancestry on ancestry.com and it has allowed me to follow my lineage to the 1600s but no further. It is interesting to learn their names and see documents with their names.

Maybe we should start a genealogy section on here to share tips on researching ancestries? Maybe someone on here is related to someone on the Mayflower.
