FOOD FOR THOUGHT~~ FOR THOSE THAT ARE ABLE TO ATTEND TOMORROW'S MEETING OF THE BOCC I WOULD LIKE TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO PLEASE ATTEND AND SHOW THE SUPPORT THAT IS NEEDED TO STOP THIS COMM CENTER FROM GOING FORWARD....PARK COUNTY CANNOT AFFORD THIS EXTRA BURDEN TO THE TAXPAYER'S THROUGH THE FINANCING THAT IS TRYING TO BE SECURED THROUGH CHASE BANK.

FACTS:

54% Increase to LEAP Assistance in Park County up from 1 year ago~~ The Flume 12/8/2010

Colorado Governer Ritter Expected to Declare "Fiscal Emergency" AGAIN; More CUTS NEEDED for 2010-2011 Fiscal Year~~ Channel 7 News - 6/21/10

Governor Ritter has suspended EIAF Grant program through fiscal year ending 2011~~ Park County Website 8/23/10

In 2003 Park County Taxpayers voted NO NEW TAXES by a margin of 2-1~~ The Flume 11/7/03
(New taxes are inevitable if the COMM Center is approved and construction is to go forward)

These are just a few items which should have Park County taxpayers giving pause as to whether the BOCC should re-open the issue of getting the COMM Center funding through Chase Bank approved to proceed with this 2.3MM expense. With the state of the economy not only for Colorado as a whole, but in our own County with more people needing assistance for whatever reasons, we do not as a community need this extra burden on our taxpayers.

Be Sure and read your LOCAL PAPER today................... From the way I understand it, Now the BOCC is looking into other ways to pay for the COMM CENTR. I'm thinking 'TAX INCREASES'??

I was hoping to videotape it but wasn't able to get free to go to a friend's place and borrow his camera. I will post about it when I get back this evening.
