Repealing the mess is the first step. There's some good stuff in there, but a bunch of crap too. The republicans are just doing what they've said all along... Debate the fixes one at a time rather than the ungodly massive pork filled crap that's been being put together lately.

The Republicans are refusing to allow any debate on their bill, will not allow committee hearings on it, will not allow any analysis for it and will not allow the Democrats to offer any discussion or amendments. They are just ramming the entire thing through without debate or discourse.

As all politicans do, they say what the public wants to hear, they get elected and then all of a sudden what they said is not what they do, so what is unusal about that. This is same o same o. Nothing has changed. Should not be a surprized to anyone. That is not special to any party. Now as to your comment above, I still remember Pelosi making the comment "we will have to pass the bill to see what is in it". I personally would have liked to see a whole bunch of new faces in there on both sides.

The CBO is just guessing. The prototype Obamacare plan is in the state of Massachussets and their costs wound up being a lot more than they forecasted for the program.
