So less than 24 hours after taking control of the House, the Republicans are breaking their campaign promises left and right.
That $100 billion cut in spending, hold on, they now say maybe they can do $50 billion.
That promise for full hearings on health care reform in committees, hold on, no committee hearings will be held.
That promise to allow open participation (open rules) in the legislative process, hold on, no Democrats will be allowed to offer amendments to the repeal bill.
That promise for transparency in government benefits, hold on, Republicans voted to keep all information in regard to their accepting free health care from the government secret.
That promise that all bills would have to cite a constitutional provision to support it, the first three bills proposed by the Republicans, hold on, none have a constitutional citation.
That promise that all bills would have to detailed analysis of costs and spending cuts to support it, hold on, they refused to put the costs of the repeal in their bill.
That promise to post attendance lists for committee hearings, hold on, they voted to do away with it.
And the day is not yet over.
Now for the attacks that the Dems did it, that you never pick on the Dems, etc. wah, wah, wah.
"Remember to always be yourself. Unless you can be batman. Then always be batman." Unknown
Nobody that matters wrote: Is there a cost associated with the repeal, or would that be better expressed as a savings?
The Republicans refused to allow a cost analysis be done in regard to their bill, despite their platform promise that all bills would be required to have one done for deficit reduction purposes.

Yep, they lied.
But they're still trying to repeal the piece of crap.
At least they got the important part right.

A lot easier to make campaign promises than deliver on them. I hope they do keep the 3 day public review period on new legislation. And I also hope they stay with Pelosi's Pay-Go plan.
I guess Nancy did do something right even if she ignored it once passed.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
They're trying to keep the costs out of the discussion because according to the CBO, it will actually SAVE MONEY in the long run. Jeez, heaven help the Right-tards if that were to happen!
