I'm guessing (hoping) that the media exaggerates some. From what I've seen, most Pakastani individuals are more laid back than what the media would have us guess.

That said - this article sure doesn't put a positive light on things...

To contextualize, though:
- The suspect is under trial
- Having sympathizers for an extreme cause isn't unique to Pakistan - Even Timothy McVeigh had sypathizers. I would guess that anti-abortion activist Dave Leach has sent flowers to a couple of individuals who killed abortion physicians.

I don't think this assasin's admirers represent Pakistan any more than Leach represents me.

The more upsetting part of the article for was the refusal of imans to attend the slain man. That would seem to confirm either fear of more radicals or a very intolerant religion.
