Court Ruling Opens Door for More Nudity on Network TV

Call it full moon rising -- soon, there could be bare butts all over the boob tube.

The US Second Circuit Court of Appeals has vacated the $1.21 million worth of fines that the FCC levied against ABC after alleging that the network violated broadcast indecency standards for daring to show actress Charlotte Ross' naked behind during a 2003 episode of "NYPD Blue."

So it was OK to show a man's butt and full back nudity (Dennis Franz) on network TV but not a woman's?

Oh, the inequality of it all!

I am all for more nudity on TV. Lets be more like Europe in that way.

Hardly enough to worry about... You could watch an hour of C-Span and find more to be offended about.

Cool.

BTW I am not protesting this in any way except that it was a man's butt instead of a nice woman's butt. I will say that things have definitely changed since television first was invented.
