If Republicans want to know exactly what not to do to win in 2012, then follow advice similar to that offered by David Frum as to why Sarah Palin should "stop talking now" about the false accusations that she was responsible for the Tucson shooting:
"There is no one left in America that would blame her.”
Oh really? Two polls show otherwise.
I previously posted about a CNN poll showing that 35% of all people (including 56% of Democrats and 34% of Independents) believe that Palin has a great deal or moderate amount of responsibility for the shooting. A PPP poll reflects that 26% of all people (including 45% of Democrats and 22% of Independents) believe Palin bears "at least some responsibility" for the shooting."

And consider this, would either side be happy if Congress and the President went back to being an old boy's club where they just sit back, smoke cigars, agree on everything and spend our taxes.?

Bachmann also reprised her criticism of the law as the "crown jewel of socialism."
"Obamacare as we know is the crown jewel of socialism. It is socialized medicine," Bachmann said. "The American people spoke soundly and clearly at the ballot box in November and they said to us, Mr. Speaker, in no uncertain terms, repeal this bill. So today, this body will cast a vote to repeal Obamacare and to those across the United States who think this may be a symbolic act, we have a message for them."
