Have at it.....but don't try to convince anyone with an ounce of intelligence that the tea party is inclusive.....they aren't....not even up here in the mountains. You don't want anyone one but nice little conservative clones at your meetings because that way you can cheer each other on and not have to answer to any voices of reason.
Thanks for the affirmation that the left is terrified of a real grass roots movement that can sweep them out of power and consign them to the dust heap of history.
The establishment right is just as terrified, which is why your broad brush stereotype generalizations are so much fun.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

You just don't get it.....Now you have a bunch of tea partiers, AKA Republicans, in office who don't seem to have a clue how to deliver on their promises. They listened to the American people? Not hardly, the American people said loud and clear......help us get jobs, but the tea party/republican party said not so fast.....we want to spend our time on passing a bill that we all know will go no where, but we can try and embarrass our president with it. The people will have to wait while we play our political games....we won, and we get to do whatever we want now, it may not be in the people's best interest, but it sure is in the best interest of our party. So yeah, I'm scared of how much damage the party of "NO" to the American people can cause in the next two years.
Nmysys, is not saying that the tea party is saying they are no longer racist, but saying you lib's can no longer say it, or the NAACP! You lib's had two years to focus on jobs, nope..not you lib's..it was all about bail outs for the auto, the banks, etc. I am scared if obama gets elected again..he is a socialist through and through.
Outdoor, I am not a lib, but, that statement says to me that "Yes the tea party is racist, but since we now have a chapter made up of african americans, we are no longer racist. That alone is racist.
Gee I'm sorry my wording wasn't clear to everyone. I thought the wording of the report was clear enough.
I should have said that there was the first black Tea Party Group formed, but that would have caused controversy any way, so I suppose the damage is now done.
Archer you talk as if you are here in the mountains instead of down in Arizona. Have you attended any of our meetings, or are you just enjoying painting us with your brush.
NavyCPO7, sorry but I have been gone all day so I didn't see your response. I did not write that report, just posted it to try to get people to realize that even folks in the Black Community are beginning to realize that Obama isn't doing as they had HOPED!
Nmysys, my home and my heart are in the mountains, and I will be back come spring. That aside, I went to the web site for the 285 tea party, and it was hardly welcoming to someone who isn't a conservative, so I can only assume they don't welcome anyone who might question some of their opinions. I thought, back when the tea party was forming they intended to be a non-partisan group intent on balancing the budget and lowering taxes.....not so much anymore, now they are a right wing fringe group that pushes a far right agenda, hardly non-partisan.
Liberals think that blacks cannot have any diversity of thought. They must march lockstep because of pigmentation. It must color their opinions and politics.
Surely blacks and whites don't just give lip service to MLK "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
The judgment that he was speaking of was not just the judgment of whites, but also of fellow blacks. King was broadminded and large of soul.
