I still remember that dreadful day, can still see in my mind the challenger breaking up with parts of it falling back to earth. It is a chilling memory, but no less horrible than the loss of life associated with exploratory trips across the Atlantic to discover the New World.
My wife was there....watching it live. It was the last time they ever let people that close to the shuttle. She has pictures taken on her point 'n shoot. Nobody knew what was happening at the launch site....
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
