People of good character are people I am always honored to have the opportunity to meet, even if it is only in a virtual way. Whether or not we could agree on what time of day it is on any topic political, I would be happy to have you living next door to me for I have known from the first that you are a person who would make the finest of neighbors. There has never been the slightest doubt of that in my mind, and your post only confirms what I have always known to be true, that your character is unquestionable in all instances.

I have always tried to remember this quote from Thomas Jefferson in my dealings with those with whom I disagree:

It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.

Thomas Jefferson, letter to Richard M. Johnson, 1808

If Adams and Jefferson could become treasured friends for life despite their political differences, then the same is possible for all of us here today as well. Know that regardless of our political differences, as a person you are held in high esteem by me archer. I remain convinced that you are a blessing in every life that you touch, even when you are having a bad day, including my own. May your troubles be eased by the presence of the Creator's peace in your heart as you travel down life's most difficult roads. May you always feel the presence of His love for you, even on your darkest of days, and know with certainty that you never are traveling alone.

You are good people archer. Always have been, and always will be. Never, not for a single instant, did I ever think otherwise.

:Happywave: :bravo: Awesome of you to post this PrintSmith - you are a good man!

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

And there were also threads like this around the same time. My name was different but I don't feel like I changed all that much, but politics have changed a lot since then.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
